Mark Strong was born Marco Giuseppe Salussolia on August 5, 1963, in London, England. His mother, Waltraud, is Austrian, and his father, Giuseppe, is Italian. Waltraud legally changed Strong's name when he was a child to help him fit in with his classmates.
